Higher Secondary Course:
It is a Grant-in-aid 10+2 course affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune (Nagpur Division). The course of Junior College is of Two years duration. First year junior college being XI std. and second year junior college being XII std.
Subject Combinations:
The College offers science course at Junior college level with following subject combinations (Medium of instruction being English).
Compulsory Languages / Subjects:
1. English
2. Modern Indian language: Marathi/Hindi
3. Environment Education
4. Physical Education
5. The following four subjects: (elective)
(a) Mathematics and statistics.
(b) Physics
(c) Chemistry
(d) Biology
Following non-grant courses have also been added since 2008 –
Information Technology – 50 Seats
Computer Science – 25 seats
Electronics – 25 seats
Information Technology (IT) is available as an optional subject for Math’s /Biology/second language. Information Technology is a No-Grant-BASIS subject.
Electronics & Computer Science is available as bifocal courses in Lieu of Biology and second language.
Examination:
Examination for XI std. is conducted by college whereas XII std. examination is conducted by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Nagpur Division, Nagpur.
